Immortals of Meluha - Makes it to Cinema house

Immortals of Meluha by Amish Tripathi - The first book from the Shiva's trilogy is an super hit and is heading the best seller list since some time.

Yesterday i read in Film Fare book that, Karan johar has adapted the series to make it to films. Wow! What an idea!!! Waiting eagerly to see the star cast. The initial reports says that Hritik Roshan is the choice for Shiva and Priyanka Chopra or Vidya Balan are being considered for Sati. Bowled by muscled warrior looks from Jodha akbar, Hritik is obvious & perfect choice for Shiva. Period. And Vidya would be my choice for Sati.

But karan is not correct for directing such a a film. He can't really do such films. These series of films certainly need a producer with good taste and capability to withstand such a huge budget. Karan can be a very good producer.

Having read and loved the book and the next book in the series i.e. Secrets of Nagas, i'm super excited to see how this film will be made. The grandeur of the kingdom of meluha and the war scenes described are awesome. If they are made as-is, wow...it would be a treat to watch and simply superb. But the point is, how the director squeeze the entire book into a 2.5 to 3 hrs movie? Really excited.

The shiva character is so intense and is cleanly scripted down. Have to see how Hritik Roshan can carry out the role shiva. His muscle body fits to it. No doubt. But its the director who can make a huge difference to the movie. If not directed properly this could end as a dud like the "Hello" which is based on One Night @ Call Center. Man! I eagerly wait for this movie to hit the floors and release at the earliest.
