Last month, just a week before Shivarathri(an auspicious day for Hindus, especially for the devotees of Lord Shiva), i was busy at home preparing to start to office. knock...knock.... I opened the door and there were some 5-6 elderly persons, well dressed in very formal white khaddhar shirts. Well manerred too and aged between 35-50. They looked very decent in talking.  1st person : "Sir, on the eve of shivarathri, we from temple of Sai baba mandir, are organizing an Annadhan. We are here to request for donations." Me : "Which temple? Where is it?" 1st person : "Its in the bhagyanagar colony, Kukatpally" Me : I had been many times there, "Accha! Ok! Pretty famous temple. Right near to the main KPHB road right?" 2nd person: "Yes sir. For this coming shivarathri only, we are organizing a annadhan. Donate with what ever you can?" 3rd person picked up taking the receipt book out from the pocket, "Sir, so what amount ...

Now and then i listen to FM on my way home from work. I always have a point to rise regarding the RJing. There is a radio show called Full2Bindaas by Prateeka in Red FM in Hyderabad. She talks nonsense but sweet, she talks non-stop but not fed up with, she talks silly but good to listen, she makes smelly humour but hilarious, she ask stupid questions but entertaining . Its her witty talks and grinded language with english+telugu+telangana dialect is the USP for her show. Certainly the show is a stress buster. Agreed. But...no over RJing please. But...... People listen to FM for some music also. In middle of the songs, she talks nonsense like, " this song for the one who comes to your mind every minute "....."Just close your eyes and remember the person without whom there is not even one day that passes by"......" its for those guys waiting for approval from your proposed girl friends "......" this song especially for those who are in L-O-V-E ...

Well, what is all that new? Read on. The Facelifted Maruti Dzire has been launched in India in the last month. The pricing is set right in the expected brackets. What car is it? Hatchback?  Sedan? Luxury? -- Compact Sedan :) As already known, old Swift Dzire is a old Swift with boot attached, everything else remaining the same. Does this hold true for the facelifted Dzire too? Hmm well almost. Firstly Maruti introduced 2011 Swift with well improved interiors and fixed rattling & durability issues over the old swift. It was an instant hit due to the brand the old swift had built over the years. The waiting period still ranges from 2-6 months depending on the city you live in. Then came the Facelifted Maruti Dzire 2012. Whats new? The same Swift with boot. The 2011 swift strategically almost doesn't have any bootspace and this 2012 Dzire has boot of 315ltrs. This space is 148ltrs smaller than the outgoing Dzire. Even the hatchback Honda Jazz has 384ltrs bootspace. And ...

Recent series of hikes on the petrol price has augmented the gap between the Petrol & Diesel prices by around Rs.25. The impact as know, automobile industry witnessed rocketing sales of diesel passenger cars and plummeting sales of petrol cars. This came as a wallop to the auto companies. The finance ministry has stepped in and is planning to exploit the situation of rocketing diesel car sales by imposing excess excise duty on the passenger diesel cars. The expected hike may vary from Rs.80000 to Rs.150000. This is mostly to be sealed off in the coming 2012 budget session. Thus inflated govt. revenues are to be passed on to petroleum companies to cover their losses. After my last minor accident , i didn't face any fender bender in past 2 -3 years. But, last monday was the day for another accident. I WAS AFRAID OF DOGS. But now, I HATE DOGS. Its a bright monday after Sankranthi festival. Expecting relative less traffic as it was a long weekend, i started to office expecting another routine day. I use my loyal bike for my daily commute to office . From my home, i have to pass by a construction site and some bushes to get on to the main road which takes me to jntu x roads. I was in 30-40kmph and suddenly a stray dog appeared from no where. The dog just ran out of the bushes crossing the road. It happened in a flash. I hit the dog. Though i applied both the breaks, i couldn't control the sudden impact to the front tyre and fell down to the right side.
