What are we missing? Do we know that we are missing something in life? Aren't we missing LIFE! What a meaningful expression of what we are missing daily. Just watch it.

Take a moment to Retrospect

Image
What are we doing to enrich our life? Next month, and it would be an year in my current job. I was retrospecting past one year. What did i do so significant to enrich my life? In that line, i went on to retrospect my last 5 years of time. What did i do to make my life better? Or did i do anything that made anybody else life better?  I always feel, that each passing day should make us much better individual, a much useful being to live. I was discussing the same with my friend and this discussion enlightened me with many things. The satisfaction, sense of achievement, the feel of enriching need not be always tangible. The emotional endurance we learn, the unnoticed small things(like finding a better/shorter route to your work place, taking a measure to save time, starting on a healthy habit, a sense of satisfaction after heart full lunch) are not tangible. If one considers achievement at work/career, financial achievements(like purchasing a home, a car) or setting up ...

Love your Kidney -- It's as important as your Heart

Image
It's World Kidney Day . Do you love your kidney? Do you know the purpose of Kidneys in our body? How to service them regularly? I may not sound sensible to some people who have a healthy kidney and never come across people who have a kidney problem. You can google on the purpose kidneys and you will know the importance of them. Do you service them regularly? What i mean is this,   Watch the complete series of videos from Sri. Dr. Manthena Satyanaraya Raju. It may not take more than a couple of hours, but still, its a very educative video which can change your thinking about the intake of water and the advantages of drinking water in the right quantity which can keep our kidneys healthy. So, on this World Kidney Day , take oath that we will do the needful actions to keep our kidney healthy and thus have a happy living. An adage says, " You will not come to know the importance of peace of mind until you loose it ", so lets not wait till we loose our peac...

Roadies Passion....!!

I like watching this show. But not mad of this it. But i track the happenings right from the auditions to the finale. Realistic, may be scripted, but who cares as far it entertains me. In all these days, seeing the crowds for auditions and all i used to think, "After all its just a tv show!!" But after watching this guy, Aniket's Roadies X audition, my view on this show has changed. This guys has given auditions for Roadies since its second season. i.e. Roadies 2, Roadies 3, Roadies 4, Roadies 5, Roadies 6, Roadies 7, Roadies 8, Roadies 9 and now Roadies X. Though he didnt get to be a roadie but hats off to this fellow for his perseverance despite of all the failures!!! For me its just a show. But for somebody this may be a passion to be there. How a person can become so so so passionate about anything like this guy? His words, "Yeh show kya hain. Woh toh bol dho? " really touched me. Generally bullshitting Raghu sounds sensible with this argument...

I hate you 2012!

I hate you 2012. 2012 didn't start well neither went well nor ended well. Professionally, financially, personally everything was a flop. Nothing went as planned. In other words, 2012 was an diaster for me. Professionally, after my shift in employment to my current organization in sep'2011, till dec'11, everything was as i expected and the early 2012 was not bad either. Then the 2nd quarter started then put my plan in gutter. Not much of learning. Not much of earning either, yes, i mean appraisals etc. etc. Though this gave me the ever awaited domain change break, my plan of learning to the neck in the initial days of new thing was out of line due to the project shelving in my organization. Financially, not very bad. But still bad. The money flow stopped due to uncertain situations. The money seemed to reach me but didnt actually come to my pocket. Share trading i endeavoured was another flop that i cant forget and made me re-thing my spendings. The expenses at home i...

Vipra Vakyo Janardana

Here is a story firstly: A king of Nepal by name Bhadraka had gone out on shikar(hunting). On his way a bird of omen, perched on the branch of a tree, uttered some significant sounds. On hearing them, the king asked a member of his party who was conversant with the language of birds: "What does the bird say?" The interpreter replied: "King! What the bird says does not concern you. It says that a farmer who is going uphill for cutting grass for his cattle will die, bitten by a snake." Just as he had uttered these words, the party saw a farmer proceeding towards a nearby hillock, carrying a scythe. On seeing him, the interpreter observed: "I think this is the farmer referred to by the bird. Your Majesty may be sure that he will die as foretold." Out of curiosity the hunting party stayed in the vicinity, waiting for the farmer to return. They saw the farmer's silhouette, after some time, coming down the slopes of the hill carrying a bundle of g...

Why do SUPREME GOD do this way?

Image
I quote, "GOD struggle for existence" ( I may seem ignorant of many facts or even foolish neglecting something that is very obvious. If so, i would love to learn. ) I justify below: Point 1: GOD is supreme. Point 2: GOD is the one who creates every living being. Point 3: GOD can control anything that exists. Point 4: GOD is kind. The aforementioned are not mere assumptions but the inbuilt thoughts and learned thoughts we have grown up with since you started thinking. These days some questions intrigues me, Why does any living being has to suffer? Why does one has to struggle to get food/shelter or what ever he wants? GOD is the one who made us. He is the one who gave us destiny (we call it VIDHI). He is the one who made ones character as good/bad. He is the one who destroy us. In between, what is all this drama? He creates a person, makes him bad, makes him do the wrong things and finally punish him after death by sending to Yamaloka. ...

LIVE life...Its much better than the DEAD

Image
Casual browsing found me this wonderful video on youtube. So inspiring and motivating. Once you watch this video, you realize LIFE is to keep living and that too living happily. If any dead person can speak out what he feels after death, Dead person feels that a person with cancer in the last stage is lucky, that he still has life to live. Cancer affected feels that a person on dialysis is lucky, that he would live more though with some restrictions & medication. Dialysis patients feels that Nick Vujicic is lucky, that he will be able to live normal life though with his limitations. So, being normal is very very very very very very very very lucky. Protect it. Live like a king. Live life like never before and ever again. Be happy and live life to it fullest, who knows today may be our last.

Tamilnadu express on blaze -- Pathetic Death

Everyone dies. No one is here to live for ever. But what type of death you get is the topic of the day. When you die, people should say, "What a life he has lived!!", "What a peaceful death he had!!" and not "What a miserable death!!" What in your view is a Pathetic type of death? Death by an accident, death by diesese, death by heart attack, death in a terrorist attack or death by a murder or death by nature calamity? I feel death of this sort  is the most pathetic way of dying. Really really gruesome fates of those who were sleeping on the berths and were sweltered to death even before they realized that they are being grilled to death. . Man! may their souls rest in peace and deepest condolence for their families. This kept me thinking since yesterday, are you safe on a flight?  -- If you think so, read this & this  or this  or this . are you safe on a train? -- If you think so, read this  or this  or this . are you safe on r...

Yet another unexpected accident

After my last minor accident , i didn't face any fender bender in past 2 -3 years. But, last monday was the day for another accident. I WAS AFRAID OF DOGS. But now, I HATE DOGS. Its a bright monday after Sankranthi festival. Expecting relative less traffic as it was a long weekend, i started to office expecting another routine day. I use my loyal bike for my daily commute to office . From my home, i have to pass by a construction site and some bushes to get on to the main road which takes me to jntu x roads. I was in 30-40kmph and suddenly a stray dog appeared from no where. The dog just ran out of the bushes crossing the road. It happened in a flash. I hit the dog. Though i applied both the breaks, i couldn't control the sudden impact to the front tyre and fell down to the right side. Probably due to the speed i was in, i fell down and the impact has thrown me away from the bike and we both were dragged to 5-6 feet. Before i realize what happened, my ...

Off due to chicken pox

I'm back to office after 7 days. I was down with chicken pox for the last 7-9 days. I was off from work for a continuous 7 days and thats the first time in the last 3 years. Chicken pox(CP) is an air borne disease and its absolutely non-seasonal. There are several myths surrouding CP. Traditional myths and regional myths for the attack but the technical reason is a virus named varicella-zoster . I wonder why scientists name viruses or diseases in so tounge twisting way. CP generally shows up many visible changes in your body for easy identification. Itchy scalp, small insect bite sized blisters growing up to red lesion all over the body. The blisters start generally from scalp, face, trunk and then crawl to lower body gradually if the intensity of CP is more. You will feel a deep urge to scratch the blisters. A big NO to scratching. Scratching leaves you with scars once the lesions are healed after CP. Sometimes these scars may be life time. You may not be able t...

Vehicle Insurance

Its peak time 7:30PM. Obviously it is then you get to see some traffic police ACTIVE at the signals. If you have lived in india for a while now, you get what i meant by active. The CI or SI sitting beside on a bike or in a patrol vehicle and some constables trying to catch the terrorists. I mean the two wheelers. This is a regular scene you will get to see at major junctions or traffic points. These extra active constables makes sure to let go the autorickshaws or APSRTC buses, running autos etc leaving out huge cloud of black smoke. Its doesn't look like pollution to them. But they would certainly stop the two wheelers with full gear helmet, registration certificate, pollution check, insurance papers etc. What the f***...you guys? Is that what you are trained for? Is that what you are asked to do? Last friday, i was on my way to home from work. I stopped at the red signal. I was in the first lane of the crowd. Just a moment and i felt a snatch of my bike keys. I...

Kukatpally Chutneys!!..No not again please

Two days back i visited new Chutneys restaurant inaugurated right in the building of Kalyana Kanchi Showroom beside viswanath theatre at JNTU X Roads in Kukatpally. Chutneys is a chain of restaurants in Banajara hills, Himayathnagar, Secunderabad and now in Kukatpally. I personally am a fond of Chutneys for its speciality in varieties of chutneys served and healthy & wide range of menu. Being a Idly fan, i was tempted to visit the new restaurant in view of huge reputation Chutneys gained though its wee bit expensive. All the previous tastes and reputation Chutneys gained faded away in a flash. The food was crap and also the service was very late. I took my father to Chutneys for the first time giving him an boasted up description of sumptuous meal i had in other branches. But this experience didn't even left a impression, good immpression is far away, for a second visit. Disappointing! We ordered Mango Uthappam, Guntur Idli, Babai Hotel Idli, Paneer Tikka Dosa. W...

A Piece Of Cake

It was my sister Mrudula's wedding reception on 19March'11. The occasion is itself to create an festive atmosphere among our family members & close circle of relatives. The platform was decorated in grand setting....photo sessions with friends....wishes.....cake cutting....dances...lot of fun. It was 11:00PM and the reception has reached the climax. Shyam, our photographer, was still having his creative juices flowing, trying to get the poses right from my sister and brother-in-law. They looked tired, it was obvious. Infact they were standing the platform since 7:00PM. My Suresh & Ramesh mama were at the kitchen busy in discussions with the chef for the next days menu. My dad was standing there down the stage talking to the orchestra party and reg. their payment for the services. The orchestra was quite a good hit this time in contrary to my elder sisters marriage reception orchestra(which was dull due to the unfortunate incident of theft of some money). I was standin...

Mrudu Parinayam

Its about my sister Mrudula's marriage. Its about the event of bidding my dear lovely sister a happy farewell to her new home. A telugu idiom says, "Illu katti choodu...pelli chesi choodu". This translates to "Try to build a home or try to organize a marriage". Its basically conveys that the building a home is as leathery & strenuous as organizing a marriage event. Its absolutely true. I have seen my parents working hard to get the marriage done in a smooth manner without any hindrances and to facilitate the guests to the most possible extent. The actors & crew of this beautiful marriage goes as, Hero: Raghavender Heroine: Mrudula Director: GeerVani Producer: Lakshmi Narayana Assistant Director: Anna Purna & Vinutha Aunty Production Control: Thrinath & Suresh Mama Creative Team: GeerVani & Vinutha Aunty Onsite Support: Thrinath, Ramesh Mama, Suresh Mama Psychological Support: Anna Purna (My eleder sis. She is l...

We miss you Ranjith!!

Image
5 February'11, a saturday evening. I was at work at my client ESSAR in Mumbai. My phone vibrated with my friends PrakashAV number displayed on it. I thought, he must be calling to invite me to his marriage which is scheduled in March. I lazily answered his call, still looking at the computer screen busy with work. He yelled, "Arey Ranjith chanipoyadata ra!!!"..."What? Which Ranjith?? Ranjith Chowdhary??" i said in sudden shock. "Mana Ranjithey raa", he replied. This sent shivers up my spine. Our talk went on. "This cant be true. He got married just 3 months ago. This is not fair". My eyes filled with tears automatically during the conversation. God! This is not fair on your part. He just started his life. Bought a home in USA, got married with lot of plans in mind about life. Pschh!! Buts its true. My dear friend Ranjith Chowdhary Kamma is no more. That night, i couldn't sleep. He came to my mind again n again. I cant digest t...

First month in USA - Encounters

Yes, its been a month i landed in US. Here's a causerie of my stay till now. The first thing thats important/bad/gud and new to me is the weather. I basically being a south indian had not seen the weather at its worst till now except few floods now & then. A temperature can be called cold or very cold and too bad, i had known is +10Centigrade. I need to mention +ve here coz i have seen the same temperature with in -ve too here in Saint Louis. The worst temp. i had seen till now in St. Louis is -20Centigrade too...bitterly cold dude!!! My first jeopardy with weather came in just a week after i landed in US. The new year eve of 2010, being my first weekend in St. Louis, i took a day out to Chesterfield strip mall. The actual plan was to watch 3D "Avtar" movie then a sumptuous indian lunch at Taj Palace, a bit of shopping and back to hotel. But, we lost the way to Taj palace, as previously i had been there in a car which looked very near. By the time we realized that we ...

Petty accident

Just yesterday i met with a minor accident. I was driving home from cyber towers at around 7:30PM, with a very little bit of traffic around. Just before the Raheja mindspace, a bus which was actaully driving straight took a sudden right turn at the end of the road. The stupid idotic driver didnt even gave a indicator signal or even a handsignal about the turn. I tried to the max possible extent to take the turn along with the bus to avoid the hit. But my bike handle could not turn more than that and the bus ran over to hit the bike. I was not able to handle the bike standing because the but hit me too on the left shoulder. I just fell down from the bike to the right side and the front wheel of my bike went directly under the bus and stuck there just 2-3 feet away from the rear tyres of the bus!! Though my fall from the bike hasnt caused me much damage, my shoulder(with which i already have a problem) got a serious jerk and its aching. Infact this would have caused lot of damage to the ...

Everything happens for a PURPOSE!!! Is it?? Isn't it???

I strongly believe in destiny and the especially the quote " Everything happens for a purpose, for a being, and it serves you ". So when ever something let me down(even the recent times of Effigent - Prithvi merger too) i just made myself bold enough to believe that something good is going to happen and so this happened now. Proving it very correct an incident happened and so is the subject of the post. Its some time back in the month of February, i had just a day visit to banglore for some personal reason. I had to visit a place called Vithurashtra around 140KM from blr. My sis had already been there and so i got the route from her as Banglore -- Chikballapur - Dhodballapur -- GowriBidnur - Vithurashtra. Its actually the route which an RTC bus takes you thru. So, it took her totally 3-4 hrs from blr to reach there. So, if you try to travel the same way on bike, generally it should take lesser time. Moreover, the place i had to visit will be closed by 11:30 - 12:00 PM. So to ...
